Become a volunteer at Hoogte80 Festival

Hoogte80 Festival would not be possible without the support of our volunteers. Are you looking for an opportunity to learn about festival work and/or meet some cool people? Do you love theater, art and music? Join our team, we’d love to have you on board!

Due to COVID-19 the 2020 edition of Hoogte80 Festival has been cancelled. Therefore, we’re not actively looking for new volunteers.

Are you interested in joining our team and helping out at future events? Please send our volunteers department an email: We’ll add you to our database and look forward to meeting you soon.

Volunteer positions

During the festival, there are a lot of different volunteer jobs. To make sure that we both get the best out of your involvement, we’d love to meet you before the festival and find out together which position suits you best. A description of the different positions can be found below.

The accredition desk serves as the main reception for all volunteers. Your job involves welcoming our volunteers to the festival, giving them directions and answering questions. Are you hospitable, do you like helping people and answering questions, this is the perfect position for you!

As part of the decorations team you’re responsible for the decor of the festival site. Don’t mind lifting heavy things? Have an eye for detail? Want to learn from the amazing Studio Met-Met? This is your team!

All-round emplyee

Are you flexibel, an all-rounder and don’t you mind waiting? A festival is a dynamic organisation, we always need helping hands but can’t always predict where we need them. Therefore, we always need a few all-rounders who help out wherever needed. Do you want to be our hero?

Are you a talented writer or great photographer? Do you know all the ins-and-outs of social media or do you love making video footage and would you like to share what you experience during Hoogte80 Festival? Become part of our communications team!

We can use some strong men and women to help us build the festival. Your work will happen before and after the festival, so during the festival you can fully enjoy what you’ve accomplished! During this period it’s all hens on deck, even if you can only help for a day your input will be greatly appreciated!

Terrain management

Help us make sure the festival site stays clean! This may not be the most fabulous job, but it is one of the most rewarding ones. As part of our terrain management crew, you get to move freely amongst the festival site and really see what is happening. Not afraid to do some dirty work? We love you already.

What do we expect from you?

We expect you to commit to working at least two shifts (an average shift lasts for six hours, depending on your tasks). After applying to volunteer, we invite you to our office for an introduction meeting. During this conversation, we’ll give you some extra information and we’ll figure out which job suits you best.
